Find, cut and stick scrapbooks use old magazines, junk mail and newspapers to help develop cutting, scissor and fine motor skills while also developing early maths and language skills such us, big/small, heavy/light, numbers, colours/colors and shapes.
To use, print the pages and bind together in a book. Students can choose their own page to work from or it can be teacher/parent directed to help develop a tricky concept (ie unknown colour/color or shape).
Children can work individually or with a buddy. Great independent or maths station work for junior children. Works within a developmental or play based program.
Open ended questions are a great way for children to explore numbers and practice using number strategies. There are no fixed answers. They can be solved in many different ways which makes them accessible to mixed abilities.
All 25 questions focus on numbers between 10 and 20. Encourage children to use the number line included on each page, equipment and/or draw to help solve the problem.

There are a large number of possible answers so allow time for children to discuss how they reached their solution.
